Горы КыргызстанаLong chains from the west to the east include 88 ridges of a powerful mountain system - Tian-Shan. The name of the system in translation means "The Heaven Mountains." Other mountain systems, such as the Choon Alay Ridge in the South, are the Pamira Mountain System. Kyrgyzstan ' s mountains divide the country into the northern and southern regions connecting one single road to Bishkek-Osh. The average length of the mountain ranges of Kyrgyzstan is 100 to 300 km. The length of the longest ridge (Kashhal) is 582 kilometres, and the Kirgis ridge, which is south of Bishkek, extends to 454 kilometres. The width of the ridges varies from 10 to 40 kilometres.

Tian-Shan mountains

Tian-Shan-- Asia's longest mountain system. The length of the ridge is 2,800 km and 800 km wide. There are 40 peaks above 6,000 metres high on the ridge. It lies in the territory of several neighbouring States, but most of it is in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. Prostituting 2,800 kilometres from the Chatkal Ridge to the east of Tashkent to Urumchi (then Tian-Shan bordering the Bogotto-Ula Ridge), the mountain range is divided into the northern, western, eastern, central and internal parts, each of which has characteristic Alpine characteristics.

The central part of the ridge lies south-east of Lake Issyk-Kul and is known by the two highest peaks of victory and Khan Tengri, neighbouring the other mountain ranges extending from the east to the west. The mountain range surrounding the group of glaciers in the Upper River of Injlchek is interesting by two peaks of more than 7,000 metres, 23 peaks of more than 6,000 metres, including 3 intact peaks and 80 peaks of 5,000 to 6,000 metres above sea level, with an additional 14 peaks. The ridge consists of sediment, metamorphic and magmatical species.

The first mention of the Heaven Mountains appeared in ancient history. According to ancient letters and transcripts of travellers, expeditions to these places have taken place since ancient times, but they are all more like legends than facts. The expedition of a Russian researcher, Petr Semenov, in the mid-19th century, for the first time shed light on the secrecy of the Heaven Mountains. Thanks to his research, P. Semenov even got a second name from the king, Tian-Shan.
