Fan Mountains 2016
"A few weeks ago, we came back from the Fanny Mountains, and I'm still looking at pictures, I can't believe this place exists on Earth.
In the short term, this is the most beautiful mountain area with an amazing landscape, and most importantly with an incredible number of different lakes. It's not for a reason that Yuri Visbor was so excited by the Fan Mountains. It's, of course, and a paradise for photographers, compassors and just lovers of beauty, and it's always like coming back here, seeing, feeling, and drinking all that beauty.
Now it's okay.
The Fanas are located in Tajikistan, the highest point in the area, Mr. Chimtarga (5489 m). A great feature of the Fan Mountains is the constant good weather in August-September. So good, it's boring.
No kidding, of course. We've been here from 18 to 29 August, and we've had two times as long as we've had light rain and two more clouds and clouds, but the rain didn't go.
The rest of the time is sun and stars. The neighborhood is warm, but it's not hot, which is nice, too. We had a temperature this afternoon at +20.30вкаoC, at night, in most cases about +10 oC, once (a night at 4100 m) near zero.
Besides, of course, Fanas are a lot of beautiful lakes. One of my objectives in the Fanach was to bathe in every lake as cold as they were..."
