One of the main features of Prielbrusje is Mount Elbruz, the highest peak of Russia and Europe, located north of the Grand Caucasian Ridge on the border of the two republics: Karachaevo-Cherkes and Cabardino-Balkar.
Elbrus is a two-two-two-shot volcano. The height of the western top is 5,642 m above the sea level, and 5,621 m. They are separated by the saddle: 5,300 m.
